Appreciate Honorable Sasi Tharoor`s stimulating speech on India`s 'SOFT POWER.  What  he did mention as strength,  I feel  they are the weakness of our  Nation, hence this comment .

1 – India, 1.2 Trillion strong, biggest democracy of the whole world has elected the Foreign Origin, Roman Catholic, Ms. Sonia who lead Party (Congress) to power. Where the Minority Singh is  crowned as the Prime Minister by the Minority Muslim President.( 81% of the people are Hindu). The fundamental theory of the democracy is ‘the majority RULES’. (Democracy FAILED but the ALLIANCE of the Factions run  the Government with the self/personal interest.)

2 – Boasting as we are the biggest user of the mobile phones (some billons), even by the ironing walas and the todde climbers. NONE of the mobile PHONES are manufactured by any INDIAN companies, but by the Foreign companies like Nokia, Samsung, Sony, Motorola, LG Etc.

3 – Again our Ex-minister raised his voice and the collar about our Television shows and the cinema that influence even the neighbours. None of the TV sets are our Indian brand but SONY, SAMSUNG, SANYO, PANASONIC, LG etc.,
Our R & D is dead and buried for ever along with the TV manufactures such as ELCOT, SOLIDAIRE, CROWN, DYONARA, etc. Most of the successful movies are the absolute copies of other country / language. (Ex-Enthiran)

4 –Once our Indian National Carrier AIR INDIA, was the First ever Freighter carrier for the entire Sothern Asia. NOW reduced as the White Elephant facing the great loss, having a meager share even in our country. But in other small countries as Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Malaysia, Qatar, Ethiopia etc., their National Carrier dominates their own country. Our Sky is ruled by the foreign carriers like Lufthansa, Emirates, Singapore Airlines etc.

5 – Though we bark ourselves as the “Software GURU” , just been called to repair the Lap tops at  Amsterdam Airport, the products are either made in CHINA or in other countries, but the service man will be an Indian.

6 – The Indian expatriate elsewhere, will be a 3rd or 4th rate employee ( few, seldom settle in 2nd level). But the expatriates in India are mostly in the Top levels and we are decorating the usual 2nd, 3rd and 4th levels.

In nutshell, we the son of the soil is to toil as a laborer in our OWN country as well in other parts. But the irony is Indian money dominates in the SWISS BANK. Our natural resources are swindled by the foreign countries. Our soil is being contaminated  by the foreigner’s factory to refine their products like Vedanta-Sterlite Factory & Union Carbide in Bhopal.

BMW, FERRARI,MERCEDES are selling like hot cake in INDIA even in the Global recession period. Our Government is going to buy the junk from USA for the Atomic Energy Projects. Our fertile Cultivation lands are leased to the MNC`s at the cheap rate with the special concession of FREE roads, water , electricity and the CHEAP ‘sweat pigs’ to work.

We will offer our land with water resources for them to sell the refreshing drink and mineral water in their internationally acclaimed bottles, advertised by our stars of the film or sports.

INDIANS are cheated by the Politicians as we are going to be the SUPER POWER (Carrot tangled in front of the donkey), to toil further more to carry the dirty linen of the men/women in power. Truth is (world knows) we are just the SUPER CONSUMER (driven by the commercial in the 24x7 TV shows.)
